Description
Matt Damon returns as highly trained assassin Jason Bourne, who is on the hunt for the agents who stole his memory and true identity. With a new generation of skilled CIA operatives tracking his every move, Bourne is in a non-stop race around the globe as he finally learns the truth behind his mysterious past. Loaded with incredible fight and chase sequences, it's the exhilarating movie with "mind-blowing action" (Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times) that you can't afford to miss!

The often breathtaking, final installment in the Bourne trilogy finds the titular assassin with no memory closing in on his past, finally answering his own questions about his real identity and how he came to be a seemingly unstoppable killing machine. Matt Damon returns for another intensely physical performance as Jason Bourne, the rogue operative at war with the CIA, which made him who and what he is and managed to kill his girlfriend in the series' second film, The Bourne Supremacy. Now looking for payback, Bourne goes in search for the renegade chief of CIA operations in Europe and North Africa, partnering for a time with a mysterious woman from his past (Julia Stiles) and constantly--constantly--on the run from assassins, intelligence foot soldiers, and cops. Directed by Paul Greengrass (United 93) with the director’s thrilling, trademark textures and shaky, documentary style, The Bourne Ultimatum is largely a succession of action scenes that reveal a lot about the story’s characters while they’re under duress. Joan Allen, Albert Finney, David Strathairn, Scott Glenn, and Paddy Considine comprise the film’s terrific supporting cast, and the well-traveled movie leads viewers through Turin, Madrid, Tangiers, Paris, London, and New York. Overall, this is a satisfying conclusion to Bourne’s exciting and protracted mystery. --Tom Keogh

Customer Reviews:
A MAN STRUGGLES TO REGAIN HIS CONSCIENCE
In an attempt to unify the Bourne enterprise despite changes in directors, and inevitable seismic changes in production personnel and location, the sense of chronological time is manipulated and we are deliberately, artfully confused. That in itself is part of the entertainment or diversion within the film; that is, we the audience are challenged to attempt to ascertain our actual place in time and space within this super-fast, super-complex movie.

The strategy of using directorial style to hype suspense works. Creative Personnel change does not distract any more than scenhe location does. By the time Bourne's fractured mind re-knits, we not only understand that unprincipled villains of his nation's secret police stripped his humanity from him by means of torture -- water torture and electro-shock torture -- we experience it and glimpse it too, as he re-experiences it through memory's renaissance.

What gives ULTIMATUM it's particular appeal is the fact that the "chase" takes place in a kind of parallel reality that could only exist within the matrix of international electronic surveillance and multi-national secrecy. That lethal Secrecy -- an entity made up of thousands of arbitrary, invisible parts -- stalks human beings through the undergrowth of actual or analog reality much as the non-earthly Predator (from the film of the same name) hunted men, while cloaked in electronic camouflage that confused it's victims.

This anti-fantastic film is so good on so many levels it challenges one on all of them and in different ways too. We come to dread and to loathe Langley much as we came to despise the dungeons of Richelieu. In making the BOURNE series, the producer or producers have met the challenges posed by the successful completion of previous episodes by fashioning even more compelling stories. What an amazing piece of work, overall.

Good Movie, But HD side not working
Great Movie. But only the DVD side worked and the HD side did not work

A Top Notch Thriller
This may be the best of The Bourne trilogy, and that is saying a lot indeed.

In this installment, Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) continues to pursue his true identity. He becomes very interested in a series of newspaper articles that reveal information about himself, Operation Treadstone, etc. He sets up a meeting with the reporter who is writing the expose. At their meeting, Bourne senses that they are being watched and seeks to evade assassination and capture.

Two characters who have been in the past episodes, Nicky Parsons (Julia Stiles) and Pamela Landy (Joan Allen) are again featured, but this time they seem to be assisting Jason. Meanwhile the CIA director and the bulk of the agency's resources are trying to eliminate him.

There is action galore in this film - a great chase scene, intense fighting, etc. This is a must see for anyone who has seen the two previous Bourne movies and probably for anyone else who loves a great action show.

Great Product, Great Price
Loved the movie, it's all that I expected. DVD quality was excellent. Vendor is responsive and quick to ship. Probably, one of the last people who do things right the first time.
