The Definitive Performance
This is the definitive performance of these great American classics. Both technically and creatively, this recording sets the standard.

A great version of a treasured music memory from childhood
I always loved Rhapsody in Blue, and I always loved Bernstein, so this was the right combination (and the right price). (An American in Paris in a nice addition, just not the favorite of RIB.) It's safely in my auto CD player now for those rare times when NPR is disappointing.

Enduring Music
After many attempts I finally found this wonderful CD on Amazon.com where I would never have thought of looking, having only searched Australian sites and stores. Beautiful, transporting music.Gershwin: Rhapsody In Blue/An American In Paris Alice.

Superb!
Bernstein's piano is amazing. This is the most interesting and engaging interpretation of Gershwin's classic I've ever listened to.

I loved these songs since I first heard them. Especially the RAPSODY IN BLUE which I probably heard it first in the movie, An American In Paris.
This cd rendition is perfect. I have it loaded on my pod as well as having the cd in my office to listen to (among others) as I do my work in here. I strongly recommend this cd to everyone. Bev Sorensen
